This Mini Turkish spindle is made from Maple with a hard Maple shaft
they weigh between 8-12 grams
the arms measure 2.5" and the shaft is 4.25" long
the shafts have a small finial to hold the half hitch.
These are for spinning very thin cobweb - lace weight yarns and are not intended as beginner spindles.

I bought these little buggers for my attempts to spin thread. They smol. They spin forever and spin fast. They do catch the thread slightly while I wind them, but Im pretty sure that is unavoidable as I am spinning silk and it tends to catch if it senses a splinter in a forest on the other side of the world.
Beautiful spindle! Well made and spins very well. I’m using this to spin 2 ply embroidery thread and it is doing a superb job of it! Highly recommend.
It’s the perfect size and just the right weight for spinning very fine singles.
